SUCCESSFUL SOCIAL.
NGARUAWAHIA BOWLING CLUB. The annual bowlers' social at Nga- 1 ruawahla was one of the most sue- . cessful functions ever held by the 1 club. There were over 100 couples present. The floor was In good order, and dancing was Indulged In to excellent muslo supplied by Miss Gerrand’s orchestra. The spot Jazz competition was won by Mr E. Morris and Miss L. Jackson, and the Monte Carlo by Miss M. Ryan and partner. A euchre tournament, under the guidance of Mr A. R. Rayner, was played on the stage. The winners ot the prizes were Mrs Simpson and Mr Mcßurney. Other competitions won were: Tie, Mr H. B. Fraser; socks, Mr Bell, Gordonton.
