William Calnan and George Guest were brought before the Central Court to-day on charges under the Customs Act arising out of the importation of the racehorse Simba. Calnan is charged with having wrongfully stated the value of the horse and having wrongfully described it. Guest is charged with having under-stated Simba's value at £l5O. The hearing of the case was adjourned for a fortnight.
