NEW GUINEA SHAKEN.
SEVERE EARTHQUAKE. SIX BUNGALOWS DAMAGED. United Press Assn.—Elec. Tel. Copyright CANBERRA, August 10.
The Administrator of New Guinea, Brigadier-General E. A. Wisdom, notified the Prime Minister, Mr J. 11. Scullin, by radio that a severe earthquake occurred at Aitape at mid-day on Friday. The shocks lasted 40 seconds. The foundations of six bungalows were (damaged, but 'there were no casuallies.
