Frankton games will be finalised, in the former game Haminto have a very solid task as their opponents compiled 355 runs but t East bowlers will require * to be on form if they desire a four-point win Frankton will be hard taxed to reach Old Boys’ score with 100 runs more to make and only three wickets to tail. Unless something startling occurs this match' will result in a comfortable win for Old Boys. . The first round of the Senior B ' Competition lias been completed and a re-draw lias taken place. HAMILTON PRIMARY SCHOOLS. THE ANNUAL MEETING. The annual meeting of the Hamilton Primary Schools’ Crioket Association was held In the Hamilton West School. , . ... The annual report showed that school cricket, in common with cricket generally in the district, was steadily progressing. Ten senior and six junior teams competed last'season, Hillcrest, Fairfield and Forest Lake taking field for the first time. The senior championship went to Whitiora, while East won the junior competition, both teams being undefeated. Steele Park wickets were available for the first time, and the association was indebted to the Waikato Cricket Association for the use 'of matting and the preparation of wickets for eight matches every week. Splendid support was also afforded by the Herbert Smith Trust fund, in the donation of a bat to the boy’with the best hatting average in each team. This had roused keen interest and maintined keenness in teams not in the running for the championship. \ Election of Officers. The election of ojeers resulted:— Jresidcnt, Mr F. W. Opening of Season. The new season was opened yesterday, Following are the i£sulVs:— Senior. Whitiora, 44 for no wickets (Shannon 24 not out, Porter 14 not out), beat Fairfield, 41 (McDonald 15). For Whitiora Everest took four wickets for 14; Seccombe, three for 11. Forest Lake, 71 (Baird 44), beat Frankton, 27 (Herbert 10 not out). For Forest Lake, Baird took seven wickets for 9. Southwell, 123 (Hallam, 32, Clarke’ 22), beat West, 19 (Crump 10). East, 128 (Harding 13, Lyroburn 11, Wilson 19, Hogben 17, Higginson 30, Collins 12). Marist, three wickets for 8. (Match to be finished). , Junior. 1 Fairfield, 48 (Haines 18), beat Marist 36 (Bonnar 16) East, 51 (Hardy 10), beat Frankton 45, (Alexander 14). • West, 45 (Larsen 12), beat Whitiora 23.
