Ms J. Gardner, Brown’s Bay, is the guest of Mrs J. M. Jones in Hamilton. Mrs T. W. Cullinane, who has been visiting Waiwera, has returned home. ? Ct Mrs J. M. Jones and Miss Mavis Jones, of Claudelands, have returned home from a holiday at Brown’s Bay. Mrs H. H. Toombs, Divisional Camniissioner of Girl Guides, is visiting Auckland to attend the Dominion Conference of Commissioners. 2 e* ? Mrs Andrew Ramsay lias returned to Hillcrest from a holiday in Kawhia. Miss Muriel Prosser, of Auckland, is the guest of Miss Lilian Valder, River Road.
ENGAGEMENT. An engagement is announced between Janet Gray Barrie, second youngest daughter of Mr and Mrs William Reid, ‘Arawai, Jervois Road, Herne Bay, Auckland, and Cyril William, second son of Mr and Mrs William Drube, Ulster Street, Hamilton.
