HIS 15TH. APPEARANCE.
OLD OFFENDER BEFORE COURT, INDECENT LANGUAGE. George Edgar Pengellv. alias .Tames Williams, a cook, aged 34, made his fifteenlh appearance before the Court this morning. A complaint was received by Constable Brown on Tuesday evening that a man, in a drunken condition, was using indecent language in the doorway of a tohneconisFs shop in Victoria Sleeel, North. The constable subsequently arrested accused, who had in his possession a pair of stolen shoes.
Before Air Wyvern Wilson, S.AI., in the Hamilton ATagistrate’s Court Ibis morning. Pengelly was charged with being intoxicated, using ideceni language. and stealing a pair of shoes, valued at £1 3s fid, the property of Ronald Ebbett. He pleaded guilty to all charges. A fine of 5s on the charge of drunkenness was imposed, and on the other two charges accused was sentenced to a month’s imprisonment on cacti, the sentences to lie concurrent. A Further Charge. fin a further charge of breaking and entering Hie warehouse of Hie Wellington Manufacturing Company’s premises on Jcrvois Quay, on January 21, and stealing Iwo soils of clothing, an overcoat, braces, and seven pairs of socks to the tolal value of £ls, lie was remanded io appear at Wellington on February 25. Defective-Sergeant .T. Thompson prosecuted.
