HAMILTON NONOGENARIAN
MR P. LE QUESNE. PAPER’S CONGRATULATIONS. A Channel Islands paper, the Jersey Weekly Post, contains an excellent photograph of Mr P. le Quesne of Hamilton. Under the picture appears the caption “04 years of age, this grand old Jersey man emigrated to New Zealand in May, 1860. Seventy years of colonial -air do not seem to have done him any harm!'’ On another page the Jersey Post quotes the Waikato Times, of October 7, 1930, the interview granted a representative of this paper on the occasion of Mr Quesne's 94th birthday, and adds: “We have pleasure in adding our congratulations to those already received by Mr le Quesne, and express the hope that this grand, old Jerseyman will reach his century ‘ not out.’ ’’
