• BRITISH RESULTS.. S ASTON VILLA IN THE LEAD. CELTIC WIN GLASGOW CUP. The following are the results of games played in Great Britain from October 8 to 11. In the English League first division Derby County inflicted defeat upon the Arsenal for the first time this season, thus placing Aston Villa at the top of the chart. In division two, Everton and Preston North End are running neck-and-neck for the leadership. Chief interest in Scottish circles was centred in the meeting of the “Old Firm," Rangers and Celtic, in the final of the Glasgow Cup. The game resulted in a win for Celtic by two goals to one. Cowdenbeath, by' a smart victory at Hamilton over the Academicals, top the Scottish first division.
