SOCIAL AND DANCE

WANDERERS’ “ AT HOME.” An enjoyable evening was spent in St. George’s Hall, Frankton, on Wednesday evening by the members and friends of the Hamilton Wanderers' Association Football Club. Excellent dance musio was supplied by Mr Roy Crompton's orchestra. Euchre was provided for those not dancing. Items were rendered during the evening by Messrs J. A. Emerson, A. Trott, and W. Wish art. Mr G. McKinley, chairman of the club, and Mrs McKinley received the guests. During the evening, Mr James Baillie, chairman of the South Auckjai.d Footba 1 Association, in a oreezy speech, presented the Ansell Challenge Cup, won during the past seaso-i. Mr A. Smith suitably; replied on behalf of the club. Mr F. W. Mead, hon. secretary to the South Auckland Football Association, in a few well-chosen remarks, presented Mr G. Deacon, with a gold medal donated by Mr H. C. Cable, president >of the association, awarded to the best player in the South Auckland team during the recent rep. match versus Auckland. The singing of Auld Lang Syne

brought an enjoyable evening to a close.

Webster, green crepe de chine; Rennie, silver tinsel and blue; Baillie, red silk jumper, white skirt; A. Crabb, pink floral satin; Thomson, silver lace over- pink crepe de chine; C.
