AT LADY WEIGALL’S. Borrowing houses for dances and parties is 'still a very popular habit amongst London hostesses, writes a correspondent. I think those hostesses who manage to secure the house of Sir Archibald and Lady Weigall when they entertain for their debutante daughters are particularly lucky. There is a light-hearted atmosphere about this charming Hill Street house which makes it particularly adaptable for entertaining young people- Many of the guests are amazed to see country scenes outside some of the ’bedroom windows —these scenes are really charming paintings behind the glass, with a lighting effect to suggest sunshine. AT SEAFORD HOUSE. The party which Lady’Howard de Walden gave recently at Seaford House was generally voted a huge success. Prince and Princess Arthur of Connaught were among the guests, and Lady Tweedmouth, Lady Fitzgerald, and Lady Salisbury entertained cheery crowds, of young people at dinner. Ouite a loit of beauiful “ debs ” were there. Lady Moira, and Lady Eileen Forbes, who came with their charming mother, Lady Granard, received a great deal of admiration; so did Lady Howard de Walden’s daughter—the Hon. Bronwen Scott-Ellis, for whom the dance was given.
