FEDERAL CABINET MEETING. TAX ON TEA SUGGESTED. United Press Assn.—Elec. Tel. Copyright. (Received October 24, 8.30 a.m.) CANBERRA, October 24. When the Federal Cabinet meets next Monday it is expected efforts will be made to impose a tax on tea, while a section of the party will urge the Government to take steps to nationalise banking credit. Two members, Messrs Anstey and Curtain, toured Australia lately, preaching the doctrine of nationalised wealth, claiming that the existing present banking methods are obsolete.
