ACCIDENTS & FATALITIES.

MISHAPS AT AUCKLAND. AUCKLAND, Thursday. A fall from his bicycle resulted in' the admission to the hospital of Mr Patrick Joseph McKernon, married, aged 46, of Otahuliu, suffering from a fracture of the right leg. Another cyclist, Lawrence Cowsill, telegraph messenger, aged 17 years, of Epsom, was knocked down by a motor-car. He received injuries to his shoulder and concussion. Mrs Muriel Dracevich, aged 38, of Avondale, was knocked clown by a motor-car. She suffered concussion, scalp wounds and shock. Running out into the street, a six-year-old boy, Milton Galloway, was knocked down by a bus and severely injured.

MAN’S FINGER SEVERED. OTOROHANGA, Wednesday. Whilst Mr R. S. Fitzgerald was engaged in bush clearing at Tapuwae, his axe slipped and severed one finger and injured others. SAWMILL WORKER KILLED. OHAKUNE, Wednesday. Burried under a massive weight of logs when a bush truck on which he was travelling overturned, Mr Charles William Tuclcey, a sawmill worker, employed at Gamman’s sawmill, Ohakune Junction, was forced to lie in agony for over an hour yesterday afternoon before he was discovered. Mr Tuckey received terrible injuries which resulted in his death shortly afterward. He was a single man, aged 26.
