A PUBLIC INQUIRY. BPECIAL TRIBUNAL APPOINTED. FIRST SITTING NEXT WEEK. (Official Wireless.) (Received Oct. 23, 12.30 p.m.) RUGBY, Oct. 22. It was announced from Downing Street to-night that it is the desire of the Government and Air Ministry that the inquiry into the loss of RlOl (should be a public inquiry carried but by an independent court, with full -powers to take evidence on oath. The authorities have approached Sir John Simon, and he has consented to conduct the investigation. In addition Colonel Moore Brabazon who used to sit in the House of Commons and took a great interest in air matters, and Professor Inglis, professor of mechanism and applied mechanism, Cambridge University, have been approached to act as assessors and to, assist Sir John Simon with their' practical technical. knowledge during the inquiry. .It. is expected the court will have its first sitting next week.
