PLAYER SUSPENDED. WARNED OFF ALL GROUNDS. AUCKLAND, Thursday. As the result of incidents which occurred during the progress of the Ponsonby and Devonport Stormont Shield League football match, .played on Saturday, October 11, F. Delgrosso, captain of the Ponsonby team, at last night’s meeting of the Auckland Rugby League, was suspended for three seasons and warned off all grounds under the jurisdiction of the league during that period. V. Goodwin, who was also implicated, was suspended for four playing Saturdays in next year’s competition. It was also decided to write to the Ponsonby Club commending G. Gardiner for his actions in assisting the referee.

Arising out of the recent Police Court case, where two men were charged with betting, the judicial committee decided to debar them from attending Carlaw Park in future. Delgrosso is one of the best known League players in New Zealand.
