There was a tragic end to-day to a dispute between a farmer, Thomas Ross, aged 40, of Meeniyan, Gippsland, and a farm labourer, Charles. Wells, aged 39. Both men were shot dead. , /Mrs Ross informed the police that Wells entered the kitchen with a gun, whereupon her husband sprang at him. She rushed outside with her child. Subsequently the body of Ross was found in one of the rooms and that of Wells in another, with a gun beside it.
