KIWITAHI NEWS.

GIFT AFTERNOON. Mrs. H. Miller, of Kiwitahi, gave a very enjoyable afternoon at her residence, Kiwitahi, in honour of Miss M. Allen, who is shortly to be married. Mrs. Miller received her guests wearing a dainty frOclc of blue floral ninon. .Miss Allen wore a frock of apple-green tucked crepe de soie. A pleasant time was spent in competitions. A kitchen competition was won by Mrs L. Pole. Putting on the lawm was won by Mrs L. Howie. After tea Miss Allen opened her parcels and displayed a number of useful gifts. Among those present were:—Mesdames A. M. Allen, C. M. Gummer, G. Howie, W. C. Cargill, F. J. 'Marshall, W. Aitken, A. J. Walker, L. Pole, A. Needham, 11. Howie, A. Topham, P. McNaughton, N. Howie, R. Morton, S. Wilding, J. Wyatt, W. Tangye, J. Seales, Misses V. Clifford, J. Buckleton (Wellington), B. McNaughton and F. Hewitt.
