AT PALMERSTON NORTH. BUTTER AND CHEESE AWARDS. HIGH PRAISE FROM JUDGE. (By Telegraph.—-Press Association.) PALMERSTON NORTH, Monday. High praise is accorded the butter exhibits in connection with the National Dairy Show, w-hich will open to-morrow', by the judges of the dairy division. Entries are in greater numbers than has been the case for a number of years, and, says the judge, the butter, w-hich has been in cold storage for some four months, opened up in a choice condition. In a number of classes two or more exhibits had to be joined for first place. The judges had a difficult task in making the awards. The factory •managers, the butter makers, and the suppliers were to be congratulated on the high quality of the produce.
