EXPLOSION OF POWDER.

TWO BOYS INJURED. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) DUNEDIN, Thursday. Suffering from severe injuries to their hands, the result of an explosion of gun-powder, Donald McLennan, aged 17, and Norman Orange, aged 13, were admitted to hospital this afternoon. Apparently the boys were experimenting with gun-powder when an explosion occurred. McLennan’s hand was practically blown away and it is considered that amputation will have to be made.
