LOCAL OBSERVATIONS. ' Miss Budd, of Balfour, M. Irvine and Webster, Ltd., supplies the following observations of the weather: —- Barometer. Thursday 29.95 Friday 30.05 Thermometer. < Max. Min. Thursday .. 59 46 Friday .... 50 -38 The barometer has a slightly rising tendency, and now reads 30\05. Indications are for fair and partly cloudy weather today with seasonable temperature and brisk southerly winds. Mean temperature 44 degrees. The Weather Bureau wires: The indications for 24 hours from 9 a.m. this day are for moderate southerly winds, later freshening. The weather will probably be cold and changeable and at times showery and the night very cold, with ' frosts inland. Barometer rising slowly.
