LEAGUE FOOTBALL.
TO-MORROW’S MATCHES. GAMES AT HUNTLY. The South Auckland League, representatives will play Auckland, at Auckland, on May 31. With a view to selecting a team trial matches were played at Ngaruawahia on Saturday, and to-morrow a Possibles v. Probables match will be staged at Huntly. There has also been a game arranged for the other players in the district, an A and B team selected from the remaining players, staging a curtain raiser. The first match commences at 2 p.m., and the second at 3 p.m. Cars will leave Frankton at one o’clock and 2 o’clock. 'The following are the teams: — Probables.—Fullback, S. AUCKLAND, Friday. The appointment of a manager for the New Zealand League team to tour Australia this season was considered by the council of the New Zealand Rugby League, last evening. After discussion it was decided to defer the appointment for a fortnight. The following nominations were received:—Messrs W. J. Hammill, E. K. Asher, A. Ferguson (Auckland), W. J.
