Mrs F. Mander defeated Mrs A. English, 3 and 2. Mrs E. Bartlett defeated Mrs C. 0. Bennett, 2 down. Mrs W. Batt defeated Mrs E. M. Masters, 2 and 1. Mrs H. D. Matthews defeated Mrs W. M. Horton, 6 and 5. Miss K. Wilson defeated Mrs G. Primrose, 3 and 2. The second round of the Gillies vase was also played yesterday. The matches • resulted as follows: Mrs F. Gruar defeated Mrs H. Ross, 2 and 1. Mrs Atkins defeated Mrs A. James, 5 and 4. Mrs A. J. .Bond won by default from Mrs T. C. Fraser. , Mrs A. T. Atkins defeated Mrs A. James, 5 and 4.
