LAUNCHING SHAMROCK V. —The launch took place on April 14, at the shipyard of Messrs. Camper and Nicholson, as Gosport, of Sir Thomas Lipton’s new yacht, Shamrock V., the fourteenth challenger for the America Cup, which has been in America’s possession for seventy-eight years. The photograph shows the vessel entering the water from the slipway after the Countess of Shaftsbury had performed the christening ceremony.
