Mr. J. R. Fow, Mayor of Hamilton, was a visitor to Palmerston North yesterday. . Mr \V. H. Wackrow, of Rotorua, is in Hamilton. Mr S. Brice, of Wellington, was in Hamilton yesterday. He returned South last evening. Mr W. Lee Martin, M.P., is attending the Auckland Provincial Conference of the New Zealand Farmers’ Union at Whangarei. Air. W. R. AlcKean, S.M., who has been on leave owing to illness, resumed his duties at the Magistrate’s Court at Auckland yesterday. Messrs 11. A. Keeling, Wallis (Wellington), E. Blane, A. N. Rowe, G. Anderson, E. Brown, C. Bartly, W. A. Thompson, J. 11. White and D. Russell (Auckland) are at the Hamilton Hotel. Sir Truby King will leave Sydney by the Orsova on Saturday for England, where he will attend the annual conference on infant welfare to be held in London in July during National Baby Week. Mr. Clark McConachy, the New Zealand billiard player, arrived from Sydney by the Makura on Alonday. He will spend a week in the Dominion, rer turning to Australia and then going to South Africa under contract. • After spending a little over a month in the Dominion, Flying-Officers C. E. Kay and H. L. Piper, the New Zealanders who made a very adventurous flight from Britain to’ Australia, will sail by the Alaunganui on Friday for Sydney, en route to England. The pasengers from London by the Aloldavia, which arrived at Fremantle yesterday, included the Governordesignate of New South Wales, Sir Philip Game. He was accompanied by Lady Game, their two sons and daughter and suite. The following judges are adjudicating at the Alasterlon Competitions:—Air Will Hutchens, of Wanganui, vocal and instrumental sections; Air Byron Brown, of Wellington, elocutionary and literary; and Aliss G. AlacDonald, of Napier, dancing. Sir Alaui Pomare left Wellington yesterday by the Alakura for San Francisco, on his way to Los Angeles. He is seriously ill and has been ordered to seek a more genial climate for the winter. Sir Maui will probably stay at LOs Angeles until October or November.
