Personals. ‘ Mr and Mrs Poole of Auckland are .at present staying with their daughter, Mrs; D. Lundon. Mrs White, of Auckland, is the guest of Mrs H. P. Nelson. Mr and Mrs W. McCaw, of Hastings, are staying with Mrs N. Banks. Mrs Stapley, of Auckland, is the guest of Mrs Suter. Miss Myra Hart has returned to Cambridge from a visit to Auckland. Bridge Evening. On Tuesday Mrs Garland gave a most enjoyable bridge evening in honour of Miss Helen Crowther’s approaching marriage. The room was decorated prettily with autumn flowers. Mrs Garland received her guests in a frock of navy blue georgette. Miss Crowther wore a frock of flame .georgette and silk velvet. Those present were:—Mrs Ludgate Mrs .Max Garland, Mrs White (Auckland) ; Mrs Nelson; Misses V. Garland, I.- Garland, M. Collis, J. Veale, J. Clemow, M. Short, J. Priestley, E. /Robinson, M’eekin, A. Brown, E. Skeet, McCarroll, N. Butler. Afternoon Party. Miss B. Swayne and Miss A. Browne were hostesses at a gift afternoon given in honour of Miss Helen Crowther. Among those present were Mrs F. Swayne, Mrs L. Swayne, Mrs H. Crowther, Mrs Vosper, Mrs Meredith, Mrs Batchelor, Mrs Blennahaset, Mrs Cox, Mrs Rush, Mrs AmbuCy, Mrs Wilson, Mrs Williams, Mrs N. Macky, Mrs E.
