• tAMBRIDGE TOURNAMENT. WINNERS FOUND. The Cambridge Bowling Clubs’ ?2nd Annual Tournament was concluded on Thursday, when the Anal games in the fours and pairs matches were played off. Papatoetoe Bryant, McCullough, Sykes and Parker-Hili (s) for the second time proved the winners after a well-contested game against Whakatane—Baxter, Britten, Sloane and McIntyre (s). The scores, 25—11, in favour of Parker-Hill are not a true indication of the play, for both teams played great bowls throughout, and every point was strenuously contested. Parker-Hill’s No. 3 (Sykes) was a thorn in the side of Mclntyre’s team, and it is safe to say that but for his brilliant play the scores would have been more even. On several occasions ‘ Mac ’ looked like getting a few to help him along, but was nearly always robbed by Sykes. The game ended on the 19th head. Pairs Match. The following were the results of the concluding rounds in the post section play of the pairs match : First Round. —Abbott 15 v. Lobb 7; Wooller 14 v. Donald 2; Miller 12 v Badeley 5; McMaster 11 v. Eden) and Sheehy and Petty (New Plymouth) resulted in a win for the former by 14 points to 10 after a really good game. Presentation of Trophies.
