ADMIRAL BYRD.
FAREWELLED AT DUNEDIN. SCENES OF ENTHUSIASM. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) DUNEDIN, Thursday. A huge crowd bade farewell to Rear-Admiral Byrd at the raihvay station to-day, the police having to force a passage for him to his carriage. lie was showered with streamers and confetti. On his way to. the station he stopped at the soldiers' memorial to lay a wreath in remembrance of the Anzac heroes. At a function last evening a greenstone tiki was presented to Admiral Byrd by the Mayor.
