CONVICTION QUASHED.

A GARAGE TRAGEDY. WILLIAM SIMON RELEASED. United Press Assn. —Elcc. Tel.—‘Copyright SYDNEY, Nov. 23. The Full Court has quashed the conviction of William Simon, a Syrian, who on September 4 was sentenced to seven years’ imprisonment for the manslaughter of his brother Joseph in a garage. Joseph Sii'on was fatally shot whilst engaged in a garage last August. William Simon, who was on the permises at the time, declared that hearing a ■shot he rushed to where his brother was and found that he had been wounded. He declared that an assistant was sitting nearby with a firearm in his hand. The police, after investigations which discounted the story, proceeded against William for the murder of his brother, and he was oonveited of manslaughter and sentenced to seven years’ imprisonment-
