TE AWAMUTU CLUB. THE ANNUAL MEETING. At the annual meeting of the club the president, Mr K. A. Goyne, was in the chair, and there was a good attendance of members. The annual report and balancesheet as read were adopted. They showed a healthy financial position, with a credit balance of 1148 19s 7d. The following otliccrs were elected for the ensuing year: Patron, Mr W. J. Broadfoot, M.P.; president, Mr R. A. Goyne (re-elected} ; vice-presidents, Messrs A. V. Walker, 11. V. Holmes, H. K. Smith, and U. G. McGallurn; hon. secretary, Mr A. J. Goyne; lion, treasurer, Mr D. G. McGallurn (reelected) ; general committee, Mrs S. Glark, Miss D. Noonan, and Messrs A. F. Walker, E. Jeffries, T. Clark, and F. Macklow; hon. auditor, Mr W. J. McGivern (re-elected); ground committee, Messrs H. F. Walker, H. V. Holmes, and D. G. McGallurn; match committee, Misses Noonan and K. Woolley, and Messrs K. Smith and H. Holmes; ladies’ committee, Mesdames A. F. Walker, S. Clark, and J. Oliphant, Misses Quin and H. Civil (Saturdays), and Misses Noonan, P. Gibson and L). Gibson (Wednesdays). The season will be opened on October 12, when a Yankee tournament will be held. It was decided to get the club incorporated. Tile subscription is fixed at £2 15s for men and £1 10s for ladies. Fifteen new members were elected.

NQAHINAPOURI CLUB. OPENING OF THE SEASON. Perfect spring weather prevailed when the Ngahinapouri Tennis Club had its opening day. Visitors were present from the surrounding districts and an enjoyable time was spent. Mr J. J. Ryburn, president of the club opened the courts and welcomed the visitors. Mr. G. Finch, of Paterangi, replied on the visitors’ ibehalf.
