BURGLARY AT THAMES

CABH AND RING TAKEN. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) THAMES, Tuesday. r The police received a message from Mrs Mary Beatrice Fisher, of Tararau Hoad, to say that whilst she had been away shopping, her house had been burgled and a sum of money stolen. When Mrs Fisher entered the house she found everything in confusion, drawers and boxes having been ransacked. The sum of £9 10s had vanished, also a gold ring. In addition, one of the children’s money-boxe c had been taken. Another thing missing was a cake which Mrs Fisher had made for the birthday or one of the children. A quantity of jewellery had been hidden in a safe place, and was not discovered.
