Hannah and Company, boot manufacturers. Benzine was splashed on the back well, and a length of fuse was connected with a partly-filled tin or benzine. The fuse burned to a kink in the coil, but it did not reach the hen--JLne. The fire brigade switches were also disarranged so that the alarm would have been ineffective. The police are investigating.
