Sir Henry Buckleton, of Wellington, is at the Hamilton Hotel.

Mr John Gordon, of Hamilton, who has been indisposed for some lime, is now about again.

Mr. T. Bloodworth, who had been visiting the Rotorua and Hamilton districts, returned to Auckland yesterday.

Sir Truby King returned to Auckland from Sydney by the Maunganui yesterday morning. He has been attending the Medical Conference there.

Having been appointed taxidermist and preparalor of specimens to the Auckland Institute and Museum, Mr. G. W. Dover, of Walton, Liverpool, will leave for New Zealand by tile Ruahine on October 25.

The Rev. E. Fletcher, of New South Wales, arrived at Auckland by the Maunganui yesterday, accompanied by his wife and family. They will attend the golden wedding celebrations of Mrs. Fletcher’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. F. Audley, of Coromandel.

Sir Henry Payne, second secretary to the Board of Trade, has accepted an appointment under the Egyptian Government which desires to have his expert assistance in connection with the organisation of a chamber of commerce and industry.
