AT FRANKTON YARDS. PIG QUOTATIONS HARDEN. AUCTIONEERS’ REPORTS. There was a heavy yarding of beef, a full yarding of fat sheep, and a large yarding of pigs at the weekly sale at the Franklon yards yesterday. The large attendance created spirited bidding and competition was keen. Beef quotations were on a par with the previous week’s rates and sheep-, prices were also very much the same 'though all pig quotations showed a decided rise. Prime cattle maintained late values, but pric-es were easier for second quality. A fair entry of store cattle came forward, there being little demand for steers and store cows, but vearling Jersey heifers met with a ready sale. Fat sheep, which were penned in full supply, showed a decided drop in values. Fat and store pigs sold under strong competition at late rates.
