HARAPEPE-TE PAHU.

Children’s Afternoon. A most enjoyable afternoon was spent by the children. It was arranged chiefly for the benefit of those children who were unable to attend the fancy dress ball owing to the inclement weather. A large number of adults was present, as well as about 30 children in fancy dress. Procedlngs opened with the grand march, music for which was played by Miss Hills. Then followed dances by the children, interspersed with games and selections on a gramophone kindly lent by Miss Hill. A sumptuous afternoon tea, prepared by the ladies, was enjoyed by everyone.
