ENTERTAINMENTS.

NICOLA THE MAGICIAN TO-NIGHT. The well-known -magician Nicola will commence a two-night’s season at the Theatre Royal to-night, undei the direction of Sir Benjamin and Mr John Fuller.

It is some years since this versatile wizard was last in Hamilton, and on this occasion he will present a number of new and novel tricks in which he will be supported by a talented company of artists. The many illusions with which he mystilles his audience arc presented in a very amusing and entertaining fashion, and include "the escaped prisoner,” "furnishing a Hat,” “stretching a woman,” and "the living pin-cushion.” Nicola concluded a very successful season at St. James Theatre, Auckland, last night.

STRAND & FRANKTON THEATRES. At the Strand and Frftnklon's Own last night “Beautiful But Dumb” and “Gentlemen Prefer Blonds,” were the attractions. This is an exceptionally good programme, and entertained a large audience. It will be repealed to-night.
