The tenth year of matrimony is the most dangerous, according to an analysis in the Registrar-General's report cn divorce. Formerly the eighth year was considered the riskiest. Despite the older generation’s belief that present-day youngsters marry thoughtlessly and divorce without de-' lay, early annulments of marriage are rare and are becoming rarer. Not one marriage in fen thousand is dissolved in llic first year, the majority of divorces being sought by people who have been married for some time. Only 14 per cent, of those married for live years are divorced, while those married for ten years and over, shovy 52 per cent.
