COOKING DEMONSTRATION
FINAL CLASS OF SERIES. The last of a series of cooking demonstrations which have been given recently by Miss Una Garter, the famous author of the Cookery Book, and a cookery medallist, was held in the supper room of the Town Hall yesterday afternoon. The demonstiations were made on a Champion gas cooker and for two hours Miss Carter demonstrated the recipes of her cookery book and made cakes cooked to perfection. The attendance was large and the interest of the assembly was held throughout the afternoon. The excellent qualities of the Champion cooker were displayed and made a big impression on the housewives piesent, who realised the superiority of this machine over the earlier models and the old-fashioned ranges.
