HAGEN AND KIRKWOOD. WELLINGTON, Monday. It has been arranged, for Waltei Hagen and J. 11. Kirkwood, the wellknown golfers, to play an exhibition golf match at Miramar on February 26, 1930. It is understood that Kirkwood has communicated with other centres suggesting further exhibition matches.

TAUMARUNUI v. WAIMARINO. TAUMABUN'UI, Monday. A match between the Waimarino and Taumarunui Golf Clubs was played at tiie week-end. Taumarunui won by 2 i games to 6. GLEN MASSEY CLUB.

Ideal weather was experienced for the closing day of the Glen Massey Golf Club, and the lawns in front of the pavilion presented a gay and animated picture, as in addition fo the large number of local residents and members present there wore many visitors from the surrounding districts. Competitions for trophies provided by Ihe club were held for ladies and men in pulling, pitching and clock golf. After afternoon iea had been served by Hie ladies’ committee the many trophies won during Hie season were presented by the president, Mr. T. Jackson.

Mu Jackson referred fo the very good work done during the season by Hie committee and especially to the help he had received from .Mrs. P. Crawford, ladies’ secretary, and Mr. F. Mills, men’s secretary. He also, on behalf of Hie club, thanked all those who bad so generously donated trophies, and (he many voluntary workers. The following were the trophy winners: Two-ball foursome for trophies donated by W. Burnic, Messrs. J. Fletcher and S. Kemp; bogey competition for Cavanagh Bros’ trophy, Mrs. 11. .Brown; qualifying rounds for Mrs. Cook’s trophies (ladies’), llrsl Mrs. H. Brown, second, Mrs. T. Davies; qualifying rounds (men’s) for Mr. Andrews’ trophy, first, Mr. McDowell, second, Mr. J. Fletcher; club 'championship (men’s), for McDonald Gup, president’s gold medal and trophy, Mr. J. Fletcher, runner-up Mr. T. Jackson; club championship (ladies) for V. Tunlleld cup anti tea set presented by F. Mills, Mrs W. Burnie; runner-up .Mrs 0. Stokes. Tiie winners of the competitions played during ihe day were:-—Ladies: Clock putting, Mrs 0. Stokes 1; Miss Learmontli 2. Pitching, Mrs Stokes 1; Mrs Dodds 2. ‘J-lioie putting, Mrs If, Trew land 2.
