WEDDING.

WOOD—GO OS MAN. A very interesting wedding took place on the evening- of November 28, at the Presbyterian Church, Claudelands, when Lilian Ethel, eldest daughter of Mr and Mrs C. E. Goosman, of Hamilton, was married to Joseph Wilfrid Wood, eldest son qf Mr and Mrs Wood, of Epsom, Auckland. The Rev. 11. G. Gilbert ofllciatcd. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a frock of ivory crepe dc chine, trimmed with pearls and orange blossom. The embroidered tulle veil, which also formed the [rain, was held in place by a coronet uf orange blossoms. The bridal bouquet was of pale pink and white roses carnations and maiden-hair fern, lied with white satin streamers.

The bride was attended by her younscst sister, Miss Chrissie Goosman, as bridesmaid, who wore a dainty Trock of briar rose georgette, with hat to match, and carried a shower bouquet of pink and mauve roses, sweet peas and maidenhair fern, tied with pink satin streamers. Mr Alfred Wood, brother of the bridegroom, was best man. After the ceremony a reception was held at the Centreway Tea Rooms, where some fifty guests sat down to a sumptuous breakfast. The tables wore very tastefully decorated in palest shades of pink and mauve sweet peas and fern. An orchestra was in attendance. Over the bridal table a largo pink floral bell was suspended, with gracefully falling pink tulle streamers. The handsome two-tier wedding cake was decorated with silver horseshoes and wedding bells. The usual toasts were honoured, and the young couple received the congratulations and good wishes of all present. The bride's mother received her guests in a smart frock of beige crepe de chine, with hat to tone, and carried a bouquet of roses and fern. The bridegroom's mother wore a frock of black satin and lace, and floral hat, and carried a bouquet of sweet peas, vieux roses, and fern. After the reception the bridal couple left, amidst showers of confetti, en route for the honeymoon. The bride's travelling dress was of Swiss foulard, over which was a black satin coat ana fox fur.

The happy couple were the recipients of a large number of handsome and useful wedding presents, including several cheques. Later Mr and Mrs Wood will reside at '''Homai," Manuwererua.
