BY TWO-MILE SUSPENSION BRIDGE

A Hungarian company submitted to the Turkish Government plans to join Europe and Asia by a two-mile suspension bridge from Constantinople to the suburb of Scutari. The bridge is to be in two tiers, with a roadway above the railway. European expresses could continue to Bagdad and Cairo. The company proposes to finance the bridge from toll charges on all sorts of traffic, for several years, after which it will become the property of the Turkish Government. Its construction would take from four to Ave years.
