ARREST OF NATIVES.
QUESTIONS IN PARLIAMENT.

Mr L. C. M. S. Amery, Secretary of State for the Dominions, in reply to a question, said that the first arrests of tribesmen in the Solomons arising ou f of the recent trouble were made in October 31, 1927, and 191 had been arrested to February 6, 1925. He had no knowledge of the total at present detained at Sinarongo A judical official who had been sent from Fiji for the trials was expected to reach the Solomons at the end of March. The Commissioner, who would conduct an inquiry, was due in the Solomons in June.
