CRIME WAVE IN PARIS.

TAXI-DRIVERS' REQUEST. ASK PERMISSION TO CARRY ARMS. (Australian and N.Z. Cable Assn.) PARIS, March 27. Drivers of taxi-cabs in Paris are likely to be armed with revolvers in view of the crime wave. The Transport Federation has urged the Minister of the Interior, M. Sarrault, to make this lawful. It has pointed out that thieves know taxicab drivers carry money, and that they are 'Often obliged to take passengers to lonely spots.
