THE "MOTH" ARRIVES.
AUCKLAND TO CHRISTCHURCH. TRIP COSTS £5 FOR TWO. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, Thursday. Having left Blenheim at 10.15 a.m., the Moth aeroplane, carrying Mr Douglas Mill and his wife, of Auckland,, arrived at the Wigrarn aerodrome at 12.21 p.m. The weather was excellent all the way. The trip cost them £5.
SAFELY OVER STRAITS. LANDING AT BLENHEIM. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) ■ BLENHEIM, Wednesday. The Moth aeroplane, in which Mr. Douglas Mill, of Auckland, accompanied by Mrs Mill, is Hying to Chrislchurch, put in an appearance over Blenheim at 2.15 p.m., to-day, having left Hawera a little before 11 a.m. The plane circled over the town for 10 minutes, and il was obvious that the aviator was unable to locate the aerodrome. Finally lie made a perfect landing on (he Waterlea racecourse, Mr Mill slated that he had had a very pleasant trip from Hawera. The visibility was good until Cook Strait was reached, when only The Brothers islets were visible through the clouds.
Mr Mill decided at 3.30 p.m. not tc leave for Ghristchurch until to-rnorrow morning.
