DOG LOVERS MEET.
HAMILTON KENNEL CLUB. SUCCESSFUL YEAR RECORDED. At the annual meeting of the Hamilton Kennel Club last evening, Mr J. McKinnon, presided. The balance sheet was adopted subject to audit. In his report the president said the club had held a successful show on July 13 and 14 last. However, the finances still required attention, but with the goodwill and enthusiasm displayed that 1 evening he had no doubt about" the future show prospects. Some discussion took place on the forthcoming show. This and other matters were referred to the incoming committee. It was decided to appoint a ladies' committee with power to add to its numhers. Mrs Harp was elected organiser, with authority to appoint the committee and to call meetings. Mr Roberts moved a vote of thanks to the outgoing officers, which was carried unanimously. The election of officers resulted as follows: Patron, Hon J. A. Young; president, Mr D. D. Wilson; vice-pre-sidents, Messrs 0. H. Mac Diarmid, A. E. Manning, J. McKinnon, W. Burrows, H. W. Birch, W. Everest, P. T. Field, Dr Pinfold, Mrs N. Wade and Mrs Des Grange; auditor, Mr R. E. English; treasurer, Mr W. Hoffman; secretary, Mr E. L. Wilson; committee, Messrs D. Sutton, V. S. Roberts, A. ' 11. Garland, J. Bateson, W. H. Prickctt, J. A. Wainscott, W. Hoffman, J. E. Lovegrove, J. McKinnon and 11. Rotherham.
