REMARKABLE ATTITUDE.
The patients' fees committee drew- the attention of the Wellington Hospital Hoard to llie following extract from ( letter received from the Amalgamated Society of Railway Servants: —"Tlie attitude of the Railway Depiirlmeiil In connection with hospital ex-i'iises is thai the hospital, being a public inslif.ilioii. members are nol cnnipell"d to pay. and if they arc 1 unable lo pay need not do so." Mr A. .1. McGurdy expressed his disapproval of the view expressed in Hie lell.-r.
The i-iiairman, Mr C. M. Luke, said the susrsestion was unreasonable and was nol in.- altitude of that board or an..' other board.
