ANZAC DAY.
UNVEILING OF CENOTAPH. TO~IVIORROW'S CEREMONY. SERVICES AT MEMORIAL PARK. Hamilton will celebrate the eleventh anniversary of Auzac Day at Memorial Park 10-morrow, when the cenotaph, erected to perpetuate the memory of the soldiers from this district who fell in Ihe late war, will be unveiled by his Worship the Mayor (Mr ,1. R. Fow). The service at which the unveiling will be performed will commence at 2 p.m. The Military, Municipal Salvation Army, and Hamilton Pipe Bands will be in attendance, and there will bo a procession of veterans of tbe Great and South African Wars, along with territorials and cadels, headed by the Military Band, from "Ward Street., at J .30 p.m. The programme at the park will be as follows: —National Anthem by the massed bands; hymn, "0 God, Our Help in Ages fast";, prayer, Rev. 11. 0. Gilbert; selection,'Municipal Rand; Scripture reading, Capl. Noel S. Johnson; hymn, "Lead Kindly Light"; address, Rev. P. Paris; unveiling of cenotaph, his Worship the Mayor; selection, "Garland of Flowers," by Municipal Band; "The Last Post," buglers of Regimental Hand: "Lament," by Hamilton Pipe Band; Benediction, Adjutant 1. M. Hawkins.
In the event of the weather being unsuitable, the gasworks siren will be blown at 1.30. p.m., and services will, by courtesy of the management, Hamilton. Theatre Royal and Now Strand, Ltd., he held in the two theatres. If the services i.ro held in Ihe theatres, an adjournment will be made at their conclusion to Ihe Memorial Park for the unveiling ceremony. The public are invited to send flowers to the park before .11 a.m. Members of the Beautifying Society Will be in attendance from 0 a.m. MESSAGE FROM THE KING. The Governor-General, Sir Charles Fergusson, has been commanded by the King to communicate to the people of New Zealand on the occasion of Anzac Day' the following message from His Majesty:— "On this day of remembrance and thanksgiving the thoughts of the Queen and myself are with our pcopTo of New Zealand in their commemoration of the glorious dead." .
, THE AUCKLAND SERVICE. The Governor-General, Sir Charles Fergusson, will lake part in the service at Auckland by reading the lesson, Rev. xx., 11-22. The Mayor or Auckland, Mr G. Baildon, will preside. Addresses will be delivered by Archbishop Avcrill and Rev. R. S. Watson, M.C.
