Rugby trial match at Wellington on Saturday:— Fullback: Kairbrother (South Canterbury). Throequarlers: Steel (West Coast). Gilmour (Southland), Robilliard (Canterbury). Five-eighths: McGregor (Canterbury) and D. Perry (Otago) captain. Halfback: St. George i'G (ago). Wuig Forward: Parker (■Canterbury). Hookers: McGlcary (Canterbury) and Munro (Otago). Lock: .Masters (Canterbury). Supports: Bir'hardson (Southland). Stewart (South Canterbury). Back Row: White (Southland) and Turpin icanterbury). Emergency Backs: DaUy (Canterbury), Elvey (Canterbury) and Bell .Southland). Forwards: Williams (Otago), Tunicliffc (Bullcr), O'Rcgan (West Coast:, and Blick (Southland). At the conclusion of I lie game on Saturday the selectors will announce the names of a number of certainties for the All Black team.
POSSIBLES v. PROBABLES. CHRISTCHURGII, Wednesday. The "Probable" South Island team defeated the "Possible" team to-day by 23 points to 22, after one of the fastest and most exciting games ever seen in Cbrisi/church. At half-time the scores were 16 all.
