Mr J. D. Hunter, of Dunedin, is in Hamilton for the Show. Mr William Garrett, of Auckland, is visiting Hamilton and is staying at the Hamilton Hotel.
Messrs W. R. Allan. W. G. Clark, F. J. Reid and C. A. 'Carsen are Auckland visitors at the. Brighton Hotel. Mr J. W. Graham, of Bockhampton (Queensland), who has been visiting the Waikato, left to-day for Auckland.
Hon Anderson arrived hi Walhi yesterday. He was waited upon by the Borough Council and.Miners' Union executive.
Mr T. C. Brash, secretary of the. Dairy Export Control Board, who was in Hamilton for the show, returned to Wellington last evening. Mr H. Lynch, who first toured New Zealand with ins bellringcrs 57 years ago, is in Hamilton.
According to a Hobart cahle message Colonel Eecles Snowdon has been appointed Agent-General in London for Tasmania.
Messrs P. E. Miller (Christchurch), B. Ceorge (New Plymouth), and P. Nathan •'Wellington) are amongst the visitors to the show. They are at Lhe Hamilton Hotel.
Messrs E. lies (Wellington), W. J. Rutherford (Whang'arei), A. Davis (Auckland) and Mr and Mrs C. Fell (Bay of Islands) are amongst the guests at the Waikato Hotel.
Owing to ill-health, Monsignor Mahoney, of Onehunga, has been obliged to resign office as one of the two vicars-general of the Auckland lloman Catholic diocese. Monsigndr Caliill, of Parnell, who is at present visiting Europe, has been appointed Monsignor Mahoney's successor by Bishop Cleary. Until Monsignor Cabin's return, the Rev W. J. Murphy, of the Good Shepherd Parish, Dominion Road, will be acting as vicargeneral. The Bishop has also appointed Father Holbrook as archdeacon, Father Murphy as Dean of Waitematu and Father Brennan as Dean of Waikato.
