MISAPPROPRIATION.
HARBOUR BOARD FUNDS.
THAMES SECRETARY CHARGED
As the result of investigations made by the Audit Department, Norman Gibbs, secretary of tile Thames Harbour Board, lias been arrested by Detective Culloty, of Hamilton, on a cliargo of misappropriating £l6, the funds of the Board. As other charges are pending against accused, he was remanded until October 5. The arrest caused no small amount of pained surprise in Thames, accused, who is'a middle-aged married man with seven children, being held iu respect.
