THROWN FROM TRAP.
By Telegraph.—Press Association. GHEYMOUTH, Tuesday. Mrs James Harrison, of Cobden, was fatally injured by being thrown out of a trap on Monday evening. She. was conveyed to the Grey River Hospital, and died to-day.
RESCUE FROM DROWNING,
TAURANGA, Tuesday
While' three young women were bathing to-day, one of them got out of hcAdepth. One of her companions went to her assistance, and with the help of the third member of the party effected a rescue. After the rescued girl had been brought ashore she soon recovered.
A JOCKEY INJURED. , AUCKLAND, Wednesday. A jockey named W. Ryan sustained an injury to one of his legs at Ellerslie yesterday morning. - He was riding the colt Musketoon, when the animal swerved, bringing the rider's leg into contact with the rail, and throwing him to the ground. Besides'lhe injury to the leg Ryan sustained a severe shaking.
