SCHOOL EXAMINATIONS

COMMENCEMENT TO-DAY.

The annual senior National Scholarship, senior free place an'd Publio Service entrance examinations commenced to-dav in Hamilton at the Masonic Hall, where about 160 candidates are being examined in)the various subjects. The examinations will continue until Wednesday next. Rev. E. T. Olds is supervisor. The junior National Scholarship and junior free place examinations will tak*»\ place here on November 30 and- De-\; cember 1. It is expected that the number of pupils who will sit for the junior examinations will total 120.

The Matriculation examination will commence on December 35. The entries are quite up to the average of past years.
